The Recovery Initiative Fund

The Recovery Initiative Fund (RIF) offers small grants directly to independent recovery groups that work in their communities to build and sustain long term recovery from addictions to drugs and alcohol. The RIF can help make ideas come to life with a one-off grant of up to £1500 to pay for costs and resources.

What does the RIF fund?

Groups have successfully applied for funds for the following:

  • Start up costs for new recovery groups like rent of rooms for meetings and activities
  • Tea and coffee supplies for meetings
  • The creation of group publicity materials
  • Transport to visit other recovery groups

To apply to the Recovery Initiative Fund your recovery group will need:

  • A management committee or steering group with 4 members or more
  • An organisational bank account or access to one
  • An annual income of less than £50,000

If you would like to talk through an application to the RIF fund contact us.

The Recovery Initiative Fund is supported by the Scottish Government and managed by the SRC in partnership with Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland.
